"When Chekhov saw the long winter, he saw a winter bleak and dark and bereft of hope. Yet we know that winter is just another step in the cycle of life. But standing here among the people of Punxsutawney and basking in the warmth of their hearts, I couldn't imagine a better fate than a long and lustrous winter."
Well, I'm not sure that I can totally agree on being glad that we'll be having six more weeks of winter but what can ya do?

So in honor of Groundhog day - I've decided to share of few of my favorite quotes(there are so many to choose)  from one of my favorite movies...Groundhog day. Bill Murray always makes me smile in this movie.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phil: "Come on, all the long distance lines are down? What about satellites? Is it snowing in space? Don't you keep lines open for emergencies or celebrities? I'm both. I'm a celebrity in an emergency."

Phil: "This is pitiful. A thousand people freezing their butts off waiting to worship a rat. " They used to pull the hog out, and they used to eat it. You're hypocrites, all of ya!"

Rita:"I like to see a man of advancing years throwing caution to the wind. It's inspiring in a way."
Phil: "My years are not advancing as fast as you might think."

It has been mentioned to me by a couple of people (you know who you are) that I haven't updated my blog/site in awhile. Too true, too true. So, in honor of the updating process, I have decided to share a few quirky thoughts even though it may seem like I'm just babbling. I guess I might be. haha

1. I spend a lot of my free time online looking for photoshop tutorials and playing around with them.

2. I enjoy watching the food network especially with those specials about where the top places for pizza or hot dogs are. Sounds silly but they're really fun to watch.

3. I'm just crazy about those good ol' variety shows. Carol Burnett, Dean Martin, the roasts.....dang those people were funny. Don Rickles, Jonathan Winters (his Maude Frickert is hilarious) Foster Brooks, Bob Newhart(just act natural...:P), Tim Conway making Harvey Corman laugh, etc.etc. I really could go on forever.

4. Speaking of the oldies yet goodies, I enjoy the great tv shows: The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show (chuckles the clown dies.hahahahaha)  & The Bob Newhart Show, great stuff. I've got to say that my brother Kevin reminds me of Dick Van Dyke. Have you seen his old man impersonation? Too funny.

5. I love movies and I love to quote from them. The Bill Murrary classics: Ghostbusters 1 & 2, Man who knew too little & Groundhog's Day are just a few of the favorites that I love to quote. " Well, what if there is no tomorrow, there wasn't one today."

More coming....this is kind of fun.

During this time of year, part of the fun is waiting for Christmas Day to come. It's the anticipation for that special day of being with family and friends, of surprises and cheer and of celebrating the birth of our Savior. It's all so sad when the day goes by way too fast. *Sigh* So, enjoy and savor every moment of the season.

" Your Honor, ladies and gentleman of the audience, I don't think it's fair to call my clients frauds. Okay, so the blackout was a big problem for everybody, okay? But, I don't blame them, 'cause one time I turned into a dog and they helped me. Thank you."
Egon Spengler: Very good Louis short but pointless."
haha It's funny but this quote never fails to give me a chuckle. I've been rackin' my brain trying to figure out a topic for my podscroll and I guess I've let myself get distracted by movie quotes. haha

Ahh, December has come yet again and I must admit that I still can't believe how fast the year has gone by. I mean, I have two weeks, yes--that's two weeks left of my very last semester at UVU. Graduation is swiftly coming upon me and it kind of makes me anxious. But, that's where the simple things comes in. I do simple things to make me feel more relaxed. I listen to nature and to rain on my ipod, I watch a good movie or tv series (lately it's been Who's the boss and Dr. Who!) ummmm....what else?? i really could go on....At times I feel as if I'm slowly going crazy....:)

"Personally, I liked the University; they gave us money and facilities, we didn't have to produce anything. You've never been out of college. You don't know what it's like out there. I've worked in the private sector--they expect results." ~Ray
For some reason this ghostbusters quote came to mind. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's 'cause I'm quickly coming to my graduation date. Sometimes I feel like Ray. ;)
