Okay, Aaron has this really cool looking dresser that we've been thinking about fixing up. I've been getting ideas from Pinterest but we're not sure really what to do. It might be awhile before we can actually work on it though, what with the baby on the way. We still have time to think about it. :)

Soooo, it's been forever since I've posted on here. Mostly 'cause I had nothing really to say or I've been tired and couldn't do much. It seems though that lately I've been having spurts of energy which are fantastic! I actually feel like doing stuff. I vacuumed the whole house practically the other day and was very proud of myself....but then got super tired and rested the rest of the day.

Oh just fyi, I'm 6 months pregnant if you didn't know. Just a little tidbit there so you aren't thinking ..'what's the matter with her?'

Anywho, I've also done some fun crafty things lately which have been fun to do. I found pinterest and I've developed a slight addiction to it. I find so many cool and interesting things to make and do on there. It. Has. Inspired me. ;) Here's a lamp project that I've been wanting to do for a while now. It's an ikea lamp that you mod podge negative to it so when the light it on....you can see the pictures. Pretty cool eh? I had a little trouble with the negatives staying put hence the rubber band but after I let it dry it was fine. :)

More to come....

Recently, I have tried my hand at all things crafty and creative. I'm used to doing things on my computers which is great and wonderful but there's something about doing a project by hand.

I've found all sorts of cool and crafty blogs and sites that I've enjoyed looking around for ideas.
There's this one site called 'Our Best Bites' that I particularly enjoy browsing through. That's where I got the idea for this balloon wreath. I thought it was a cute and fun idea so I gave it a whirl. You basically stick a bunch of balloons in a straw wreath with floral pins. It took awhile but was pretty easy to do. :)

Another project that I tried out is I took one of the napkins from our wedding reception and used some mod podge to glue it on to a wooden frame. I painted the back and sides lavender and found some cute light blue ribbon that I'm still figuring out what to do with but maybe I can twist it around or something. :) It's a fun idea anyway. It was my first time really using mod podge and the napkin was thin so it looks kind of crummy but I'm planning on covering the edges anyway.  *sorry about some of the blurry pics. I didn't notice they were blurry until later*

I can't believe how fast time has flown by since I last posted anything. A lot has happened. Topping the list is : Getting married! That's a pretty big deal. ;) Followed by a Disneyland Honeymoon, a new home, a new ward, new calling, new experiences, new, new, new.....Wowzers!

Anyway, the newest thing that's happened is that this morning I sold my cute, little ,white ford escort. Sure it was gutless and recently unreliable but it was mine and it was paid for. That's a wonderful feeling. Aaron and I have been looking around for another car but have yet to find.....the ONE. We'll keep ya posted.

Howdy! Yeah, it's been many moons since I've updated this site. It's been a crazy, busy couple of months but it's been great. :) Aaron and I had our engagement pictures taken on labor day and we're getting our invitation put together. It's all coming together. Wow-we.....30 days from tomorrow!

Katron the engagement....

That quote from 'My big fat greek wedding' always comes to mind when I think of the fact that I'm engaged. Yes, you heard right....I'm Engaged! Wild huh? I'll put the whole story about how that came to be on my new 'Aaron&Katie' site. It's so weird to even say that. Two months ago I would never have thought that I'd be getting married in October. It's all so sudden, crazy wonderful and exciting all rolled into one.
Anyway, Aaron asked me out at the end of May and proposed officially on Friday, July 23rd up at the reflecting pool on Temple Square.

I'm so surprised!
We picked out a ring on the following monday and he brought it over and gave it to me that night. More to come...... :)

" I'm searching for my happy place. I could have sworn I left it next to the television...."

Taking pictures takes me to my happy place. I just love saving the memories. :) I've had plenty of times so far this summer to capture the moment. Some of these pics are from the Manti Pagaent and the Pyne Family Reunion. ;) Good times!

July is here and it's a goodie! My birthday and our nation's birthday in the same month. WaHOOO! The last few weeks have been really crazy. Family reunion, holiday BBQ's and just plain hanging out and having fun with family and friends. Summer is wonderful! :0)

This 4th of July, a group of us in my family did the Provo Freedom Run again. It was fun! My mom even joined us this year which was so cool. She's becoming addicted to walking/running. ;) We all have felt that way recently.

Last week, a friend and I went to Rock Canyon Park and I got to take some pictures. The view was just lovely- you could see way across the valley.
The pictures looked okay originally but after tweeking them a bit in photoshop and adding an action or two......BAM! What a difference it makes. ;)  It's just like our 'Quotable Photo' tagline----'Turning ordinary into a masterpiece'!

There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks. Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story.

It's that time again.....Opening Social BBQ for the summer.
                                     Wahoo!
We had the fam out at Grandma's to eat, visit, play and celebrate Gram's bday last week. The weather was lovely-not too hot & not too cold. ;)
It's also the time to remember our loved ones- Family & Friends & Troops! Big thanks to all our troops and my great brother Erik for serving in the Army!!!
