It just makes me laugh that a day after I write a blog about the summer and sunshine.....it SNOWS. I had to take some pics and just deal with the SLUSH. I don't mind rain or even snow when it's not covering the roads too badly but rain and snow combined.....Burrrrr! Soaks you straight to the bone.

Pretty snow at the end of May!

Well, it's almost June but with this unpredictable weather that we've been having lately with rain one day and sunshine the next....I keep forgetting that summer is just around the corner. With summer comes BBQ's, late warm nights on the porch or patio watching the sunset or stars, vacations, holidays and my birthday. ;)

A couple of Saturdays ago, I got to enjoy the sunshine at the park with some siblings and their families for a bit. The kids enjoyed the slides and swings and I couldn't help but join them. Geez, it's been too long since I've been on a swing. It was soo much fun. I heard somewhere that going to the park would be a fun and cheap date. Have a picnic lunch and play on the playground. ;) Sounds like a great idea to me. :)
Rainy days can be fun as well with the sounds of rain and thunder and rainbows but we sure had fun in the sun at the park. :)

I wanted to do something special for me mum for Mother's day so I put together this 7 min video-card. It was kind of a last minute idea so the editing isn't as smooth as I'd like it to be but hey.....it was for fun and Mom ( and the family ) enjoyed it. :) Check it out---if you'd like to see it.

Disneyland is one of my most favorite places to be but when you're not feeling well......it kind of puts a damper on things. My brother Karl and his wife Hannah invited me to accompany their family to Disneyland for Spring Break. It was just lovely when we began our stay there (except for all of the other people there that had the same idea we had---there were tons!) but sickness soon began to break up our group.

We started out with a few rides but soon afterwards Jonny got sick so Karl took him back to the hotel and not 15 mins later, Kirsten gets sick so we all end up back at the hotel. Later Karl and I took Jacen and Alyssa back to get a few more rides in like Space Mountain (totally worth the hour wait in line), Buzz LightYear, Autopia and Pirates. That's the most rides that I got at least 'cause the next day I had to go back to the hotel in the morning. I wasn't feeling well myself and the day after that we had to take it easy 'cause Alyssa and I were still recovering from our illnesses. Karl, Hannah and Jacen were the only ones that didn't really get sick. I didn't get it too bad (no throwing up or the other end) but still missed a day.

But even with the sickness and the crowds and additional costs that were paid, this trip definitely was memorable. We made some good memories and got to spend time together and got to spend time at Disneyland! Even just being there and soaking in the atmosphere with the friendly cast members waving(some of them being extremely attractive) and the smiles on peoples faces.....it's a great place to 'get away' from the 'real world'. :)  (and would be even better without the huge crowds.) ;)

Here are a few of the pictures that I took on this trip. We really didn't get to take very many with all that happened but that makes these all the more special. :) I'll definitely have to go back again soon. ;)

Yesterday I spent the entire day up in SLC at the Grand America Hotel and boy, tis grand indeed! Even the bathroom stalls have crystal chandeliers in them. It really is a 5-star hotel. I was there to help out some friends of mine from school with filming of the Governor's Summit. One of my friends works for the company Media One. Their company is one of the biggest sponsors of the summit so we were hired on by them to help film the summit. :)

We filmed Governor Herbert give his keynote address and other keynote speakers and sessions. It was quite a big summit with lots of CEO's of big businesses and institutions. Plus lots of press people. I learned a few tips about starting a business which will come in handy with Emma and I starting "Quotable Photo". It was a long day, starting at around 3am ( I couldn't sleep the whole night 'cause I was afraid I would sleep through my alarm) until about 9:30pm when I got home. My body was achy and tired but it was a good day overall and I did get some yummy food and learned more about business.

Soooo, If you haven't heard, Emma and I are taking the plunge in the world of business. We haven't officially started yet but we're getting there. We had our first photo shoot a couple of weeks ago and it was AWESOME! Here are a few examples of our work. :)
We're getting excited about starting up 'Quotable Photo and Custom Design'. I just love Photography and Photoshop so it's fun to be able to do it as a business. :)

"That's right, Single Awareness Day is this weekend and I know that a lot of you are groaning that you're going to be alone. So here's my advice: get some chocolate, popcorn and a movie; you'll have a blast! You'll still be alone, but you'll have a blast!"

Happy Valentine's Day!

In honor of Valentine's Day I've decided to write a little story about myself with the aid of pictures. Is for fun..... Click on the pics to start. I apologize in advance that the pics aren't very big. I'll have to fix it later. It was a last minute idea. ;0)

"When I was younger I hated going to weddings. It seemed that all of my aunts and the grandmotherly types used to come up to me, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, " You're next! " They stopped it after I started doing the same things to them at funerals."

With the new year comes new goals and new beginnings. Sometimes those goals and beginnings don't last very long and can get lost in feelings of discouragement. I guess I can just hope that this year is better than last year but only I can be the one to make it that way.

      As Winston Churchill said
"Attitude is a little thing that makes a BIG difference."

It was fun to be with family for the holidays. We had fun doing fireworks and having the kids watch from the window. :)

Christmas was wonderful as usual spent with family, eating yummy food and having fun. We had our annual Family Christmas Dinner a few days before Christmas so that everyone could be there. Sometimes it can be hard to coordinate schedules with in-law's and such. We had our yummy dinner, wished Kimberlee a belated birthday and put together some humanitarian hygiene kits. it was fun to get even the kids to help with the kits and do some service.
I had Christmas Eve dinner at my sister's house with her family, my parents, aunt and Grandma. It was yummy and we had a nice program afterwards. The kids all had fun performing and excited about the next day.

Mom had her usual Christmas morning breakfast which we all enjoyed while everyone made their way over and then later to Grandma Pawlowski's place. What a great holiday!

December is almost over. How wild is that?! This month was full of family birthdays, dinners and parties. Great stuff. We had a birthday party for Emma on the 3rd. We combined the party with watching the First Pres. Christmas devotional which was wonderful. Pres. Monson helped us remember what the true meaning of Christmas is....the Savior. It helped me to remember how very blessed I am.
